These photos from last year's Earth Day of Service capture the excitement, community dedication, and variety of this event. Here's a little sneak peek of what you can expect at all three of our branches on April 25th!
When you arrive at any of our three branches just before 9 am, you'll get all the tools and supplies you need to start your project.
Then, with the guidance of Urban Ecology Center land stewards and staff, you'll embark into the great outdoors.
A range of projects, like trail maintenance, trash clean-up, and shrub planting, will keep you busy for a few hours, helping to beautify and protect our urban natural areas.
But whatever project you'll be working on, you're bound to be having fun!
People of all ages can lend a helping hand.
And after a morning of hard work, be sure to stay and enjoy a free community lunch from Noon - 1:30 pm!
Join us for this Earth Day of Service on Saturday, April 25th as hundreds of grandparents, parents, children, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors come together to make a difference in our urban natural areas. While many of our volunteers help with physical outdoor activities, they also provide advice, serve as a resource for visitors, support administrative efforts and more.
We invite you to share your time, talents and advice with us, for not just Earth Day but rather Earth Month and beyond. Come join us!
Many thanks to our Earth Month sponsors!
