Click on the registration button and sign up as an individual or create a team. New this year: Sign up before September 1st and receive early bird pricing!
Why: Experience urban nature at its best! HKE MKE is a great opportunity to enjoy a beautiful journey through some of the our city's most scenic urban green spaces. -
What: Invite Others
Share the event on social media and with your friends and family.
Why: HKE MKE is a great way to spend time with some of your favorite people and introduce them to one of your favorite places! Come HKE with us and bring a friend! - What: Help the Urban Ecology Center raise funds to support our mission.
After registering, you will receive your very own fundraising page to share with your network.
Why: 100% of the funds raised through HKE MKE stay in our community and help the Urban Ecology Center:- Teach tens of thousands of urban K4 – high school students about science and nature through hands-on experiences with green spaces in their own neighborhoods
- Manage over 50 acres of native habitat in three Milwaukee parks
- Study the health of wildlife populations in Milwaukee including, turtles, frogs, mammals, invertebrates, snakes and bats
- Connect residents to local waterways through canoeing, kayaking and fishing activities

HKE MKE FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES!
- $63: receive an Urban Ecology Center Klean Kanteen Water Bottle!
The UEC partners with 63 local schools to provide hands-on environmental education to urban youth through our Neighborhood Environmental Education Project (NEEP). - $130: receive a brand new-not-sold-in-stores “UEC Home” tote bag!
130 species of birds are currently living in the restored wetland, prairie, oak savanna, woodland, riparian, and river habitats of the Menomonee Valley thanks to the efforts of the UEC land stewardship team and thousands of hours of volunteer work. - $220 or more will earn an awesome UEC branded item to be announced on August 18th!
220,000 people visit our parks annually, engaging in community programs, participating in outdoor recreation, and learning about the natural world right here in the heart of our city. - Top Fundraising Team
