At the Urban Ecology Center, we work towards making nutritious, healthy food accessible to everyone in our communities. Thanks to your support, our food programs have made a huge impact in helping hundreds of people in Milwaukee learn about and experience real, sustainable food. Here’s how!

We served over 100 delicious meals per week to the surrounding community through our Washington Park Branch’s Summer Meal Program! The lucky attendees of Winterfest 2018 enjoyed 198 SLICES OF HOMEMADE PIE crafted from local ingredients by our Young Scientist Club and dedicated Community Pie members! Through our new Healthy Cooking Series, this year we’re on track to teach more than 60 people lifelong skills in affordable, nutritious cooking! Last year, we hosted 15 farmers at our 15th annual Local Farmer Open House. These farmers have 197 YEARS of combined experience in providing community supported produce shares!
