See For Yourself - We Have Amazing Volunteer Support!

Whether they are planting trees, greeting our visitors or giving our branches a "face-lift," we are grateful for the hard-working volunteers who give their time to furthering the Urban Ecology Center's mission. Come celebrate their efforts at our Volunteer Appreciation Party on November 20th, 2013. Look below and see for yourself just some of the things volunteers have accomplished during 2012-2013!

We have Amazing Volunteer Support! 3,192 volunteers contributed over 20,000 in our 2012-13 fiscal year! In fiscal year 2012-13 volunteers saved the Center $375,011, based on Independent Sector’s value of volunteer time for Wisconsin at $18.50 per hour. Volunteers help us with so much including: land stewardship, environmental education, citizen science research, greeting visitors at the reception desk, building stuff, paddling, belaying climbers on our rock wall, and much more! We can’t thank our volunteers enough!
