Check out the video and photos below for some highlights from this incredible event.
Our Executive Director, Ken, with one of our honorary hosts, Margarete Harvey
Guests gathered outside the building to enjoy the native vegetation planted in our front yard.
On each table were letters written by students thanking the Urban Ecology Center for the fun and educational experiences in nature that our educators provide.
Guests observed the native Wisconsin species housed in the Riverside Park branch’s animal room.
A hybrid bike donated by Trek was one of the many amazing silent auction items at the event.
The event also featured a five minute video about the history of the Urban Ecology Center, created by Serbata Tarrer, a longtime volunteer at the Washington Park branch, and an avid filmmaker.
As the evening drew to a close, guests filled the balconies and the decks on the observation tower to light sparklers and view the bonfire on the opposite side of the Oak Leaf Trail.
