And the restaurants! From modern breakfast to Caribbean, Mexican, Thai or Vietnamese, you can find it all near our Menomonee Valley branch.
Food is one of the best ways (and the most delicious, for sure) to learn about a community. It can be a very deep way to engage in diverse cultures. As Mark Twain said, “An open mind leaves a chance for someone to drop a worthwhile thought in it.” I stayed open-minded every time I tried a medium salsa (quite spicy for me), ate squid or drank a delicious horchata.
With so many amazing, locally owned places to eat nearby, we wanted to find ways to connect our UEC community with these great opportunities to get to know our neighborhood, and in turn connect these restaurants to our work here at the Center. So, our Visitor Services team put together a Community and Earth Friendly Caterers List of several local caterers who support the community and the earth through their sustainable practices. When you rent a space at the Urban Ecology Center we encourage you to choose from one of the restaurants on this list. It’s a great way to get to know our community and support local and earth friendly businesses!
So, when you join us at our Menomonee Valley for activities, rentals or events, remember that we are just one piece of a beautiful community. We would invite you to continue the adventures you begin at the Center by exploring some of the superb restaurants in our neighborhoods. It’s a great way to learn more about the community, and we promise, there will be so much food!
