Fixin’ Facilities volunteers will help our team with various projects and upkeep needs throughout the building, park and playground. Volunteers will help with a broad range of projects including painting, carpentry and much more.
Like to work outdoors? The group will also perform a wide variety of park and playground maintenance projects including wood chipping, weeding and graffiti removal.
And the fun doesn’t end there. Stop in to help with some routine vehicle maintenance work.
No previous experience is needed to join this group as you will be working alongside staff members who will teach you as you go. There’s so much that volunteers can do to help keep this building, the vehicles and the park maintained and looking great!
Whether you are fulfilling service hours for school, are interested in learning about this type of work, or are just looking for a fun, hands-on volunteer experience, all are welcome to join!
Each month, projects will be planned ahead of time. Volunteers are welcome to just show up and find out what the group will be working on that day or they can check our website for a listing of the projects the group will be working on each week. Since this is a drop-in volunteer opportunity, you do not have to sign up ahead of time.
Come check out Fixin’ Facilities on Wednesday afternoons starting in September! To learn all of the volunteer opportunities at the Center, come to any Volunteer Orientation. Check out our website for dates.
