For a great chance to skate, join us for our annual Winterfest on Saturday, January 27 from noon to 4 p.m. The rink will be open, and we’ll provide skates free of charge (though you’re still welcome to bring your own if you have them). We’ll have a sledding hill open, too – weather permitting, of course, but the weather has been really promising – and the Door County Sled Dog team will be joining us for a meet & greet in the park. Inside, you’ll find entertainment, food, and hot beverages – all for free!

If you have younger children who nap during our festival time, please check out Winterfest for Afternoon Nappers from 10:30 a.m. to noon. We’ll have guided activities, story time, a puppet show, and a nature hike for pre-school aged kids and their families. Space is limited, so please pre-register here.

Winterfest participants can also enjoy delicious homemade pies during the festival. This wouldn't be possible without the dedicated support of the Urban Ecology Center interest group, Community Pie! For many years, these generous volunteers have been teaching our after-school Young Scientist Club kids how to bake pies from scratch and fill them with locally-grown fruit. We currently have a need for new, committed adults to join the team and help make pies! If you’re interested, please do sign up for either of our two pie making events, Pie Crust Making and Pie Crust Filling.
Thank you all for supporting our events, and we hope you’ll join us in making some joyful winter memories this year!
