Gradual Restarting: On-site and Online

Hello UEC Community,

Based on COVID 19 public health indicators and our own internal preparedness, we are entering into a phase of our gradual restarting plan that allows us to offer some additional onsite programming. With rigorous cleaning practices, regular health screening, PPE, and social distancing measures in place, here are the programs we are running or preparing for:

On-site programming

Community Garden plots at Riverside Park and Menomonee Valley branches (began Mid-may)
Summer Meal Program at Washington Park (Began June 15th)
Summer Camps – (Preparations underway, Beginning June 29th)

Urban Ecology Center In My Backyard has tons of great videos, articles, and activities!
Virtual programs (find them on our calendar)
Virtual Birthday Parties for Kids (preparations underway)

The health and safety of our community and staff remain our top priorities. As we continue to monitor public health indicators, we will be prepared to adjust programming as needed to keep us all as safe as possible.

For the time being, we are keeping all three of our branches closed to the public to minimize the number of people interacting at our buildings. Please continue to enjoy the beautiful parks throughout Milwaukee including Three Bridges, Washington, and Riverside Parks.
